Terms & Conditions

WHEN YOU ACCEPT A GRANT OR GRANT PLEDGE FROM THE GOSLING FOUNDATION, IT IS ON THE UNDERSTANDING THAT YOU AGREE TO THE FOLLOWING TERMS & CONDITIONS.

GRANT PLEDGES FOR CAPITAL PROJECTS

A grant pledge is valid for a maximum period of two years unless otherwise stated in the offer email.

All pledges must be officially accepted by email within a month of the offer being made.

The pledge automatically expires at the end of the two-year period unless an extension has been requested and agreed with The Gosling Foundation. Reminders are not issued.

GRANT PAYMENTS

The grant will be spent for the purpose approved by The Gosling Foundation and as described in the grant offer email.

If you anticipate any changes to the size of the project or its purpose or wish to change the way that the grant will be spent, you must contact us in advance to seek our agreement.

Any part of the grant that is not required for the purpose approved must be refunded to The Gosling Foundation.

The grant will not be used for work outside England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland (this does not apply to grants made directly to the Royal Navy/Royal Marines).

We reserve the right to withhold a grant or require repayment if:

  • We find that false information has been supplied to The Gosling Foundation.

  • There is any evidence of bribery, corruption or other activity that could damage the reputation of The Gosling Foundation.

  • The work undertaken is not the work for which the funding was approved.

  • The Gosling Foundation fails to receive a grant/project report.

  • Your organisation becomes insolvent or goes into administration, receivership or liquidation and the funding has not been spent on its intended purpose.

If you're applying on behalf of a registered charity, CIO or CIC, you must have an appropriate safeguarding policy in place and confirm that the organisation complies with it.

You will inform us of serious incidents, including but not limited to safeguarding or fraud (whether relevant to the funded project or not) and plans for any changes to the governance of the charity.

We will sometimes add additional conditions to an individual grant to take account of particular circumstances. These will be included in the grant offer we make to you.

REPORTING

Grant recipients are required to complete a simple report on completion of the project or on a mutually agreed date. Recipients will be sent a link to a standard template for the grant report.

SUGGESTIONS, FEEDBACK OR COMPLAINTS

In the first instance please address any suggestions, feedback or complaints to the administration office, office@thegoslingfoundation.com.  Should you be unsatisfied with this outcome, you will be put in touch with a Trustee.  Should you still be unhappy, we will appoint an independent adjudicator.
