Trustees

Adam has worked in the property industry for over 30 years, specialising in secondary retail, educational and residential investments. He owned a group of nursery schools until 2024 and has held various directorships including World Cruising, the providers of global blue water sailing events, where he was also a shareholder.

In 2009, Adam was given an honorary title as Captain in the Royal Navy, and in 2014 was made an Officer of the Order Of St. John. Adam is an elected Council Member of the White Ensign Association and is also a Trustee of The Britannia Association. Previously he sat on the board of Cowes Harbour Commission (Isle of Wight) and on the Operations Committee for the RNLI. He was also the Admiral of Cowes Sea Cadets. 

Adam loves sailing and the mountains, with other interests including skiing, photography, cycling and fitness. He is married to Sarah, a former sailor with two Olympic gold medals and numerous world championships to her name, and they have two children.

Peter is an entrepreneur and investor. He has been owner/manager of a number of companies, three of which he sold to US corporates. These companies have ranged in size, with the largest employing over 500 people. With a background in systems engineering and management consultancy, his businesses have been based around information services, telecommunications and electronics technology. His investments include early-stage technology innovation, renewable energy and sustainability.  Mid-career, Peter studied corporate finance at London Business School providing a broader academic base for his commercial activities.

A keen sportsman, Peter enjoys regular tennis, cycling and skiing, and is an enthusiastic cinema and theatregoer.

Peter was a trustee of CancerBackup for many years, prior to merging it with Macmillan Cancer Support in 2008. Peter is married to Rebecca, has four children, and lives in Hampshire.

Nick became a trustee of the Gosling Foundation in September 2019. He is also a trustee of the Blood Pressure Research Trust, based at Bart’s Hospital and a founding trustee of Hoopers Africa Trust, which educates girls from impoverished backgrounds in Kenya.

During his 40 years as a law firm partner, Nick acted for a number of charities, including the legal work to establish the Mayor of London’s Fund for Young Musicians (now the Mayor’s Music Fund.)

Nick is still a consultant to the Lincoln’s Inn law firm where he was managing partner. He also works with a probate research company.

Married with four children, Nick lives in London.
